Jake Richter was born in San Antonio, TX. He spent most of his youth in the Texas Hill Country before graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. While at A&M he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, Company A-2, and Muleskinner in Parsons Mounted Cavalry. Jake currently resides in Fort Worth with his two sons, Baron and Bronco.
When not hard at work, Jake and his family spend their summers exploring the mountains across the country in their 1979 Airstream Argosy, which Jake rehabbed over nearly a year finding time during long nights and weekends. Jake is a busybody by nature, hyper-focused and dedicated to the task at hand until it is completed. So, he can be found spending the rest of his free time training for or running 100-mile ultramarathons, hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, and finding old ugly projects to try and make beautiful (or at least useable) again. Ask him about his latest project—he’s sure to have one!
In addition to his work life and hobbies, Jake enjoys giving back to his community by serving on the FWSSR Board and the Calf Scramble and Greeting Committees. He currently serves as a board member for Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail and Near Southside, Inc. As a past-president of the Tarrant County A&M Club, he still supports local club events that raise money for scholarships to future Aggies from Tarrant County.
